Joan Van Loon

Joan van Loon was born in Melbourne and grew up in the inner city suburb of Hawthorn. She taught English for some years and after her marriage to John and the birth of their three daughters, she began writing. Her children’s picture story books have been published in Australia and overseas. She has also written short stories for adults. Joan now lives in Elsternwick with her husband John and works as a librarian at Mentone Girls Grammar.
